If you’re a regular reader of my blog you will know I’m a big GAA supporter. I love my club and I love my county. I’ve been keenly following Meath in the Allianz Football League since it got underway in February. So too have Aidan and Sarah but going to a GAA match with kids is a bit like bringing them to a restaurant. At first I think it’s a great idea but then realise I’ve had better ideas when I’ve got there!

Soccer, football, call it want you want but it’s what I was reared on as a child. Of course the GAA played a role too but I was soccer mad as a kid. My father took me to every single Ireland game in what was then known as Lansdowne Road. He took me to the World Cup in America in 1994 and on numerous away trips to follow the Boys in Green.
