If any of you folks are looking for some free fun for the kiddies this month perhaps you should check out The Imagination Playground at the Riverbank Theatre in Newbridge, Kildare. It has been on since last month and will run until May 27th.
An email from the theatre tells me the Imagination Playground is a ‘a breakthrough play space concept designed to encourage child directed free play – allowing children to build, dream, and create endless possibilities. The Playground was conceived and designed by award-winning architect David Rockwell. The play system consist of a 105 large block set, the children can let their imagination run wild and create there own playground. Premium quality big blue foam blocks of various shapes enable children to have fun, collaborate, problem solve, boost their confidence and inspire their creativity’.
The exhibition is open from 10.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday and there are facilitated sessions from 11am to 12 noon and again from 12.30pm to 1.30pm on Saturday’s. You can call the theatre on 045-448327 to book a session.
I think I’ll check this out over the weekend.
