I was in Dunnes Stores the other day and was a bit taken aback to see a table full of Halloween decorations in the homewares department. For God sake, the kids haven’t even gone back to school yet, is what I said to myself. My kids were in awe of the decorations though and informed me that they can’t wait for the spooky spectacular to come around.
This year I reckon both of them will be really in to it. Aidan will be for sure and I suspect Sarah will jump on board too so I said I’d treat them to a wee Halloween activity. We’ve decided to do Halloween at Ladyrath Lane in Meath.
The family run business has a massive pumpkin patch for Halloween and there will literally be thousands of pumpkins to pick from. Entry also includes face painting, bouncy castle fun, Halloween treats, carving of your pumpkin and indoor and outdoor games. There’s also an onsite coffee shop for the adults to enjoy.
And do you want to know the best thing about it; it’s cheap as chips, which is always good news for families! Well it is for this one anyway! Entry for a family of four or five is only €10. Seriously, how bargain-tastic is that?
PS: Don’t forget about the Sensational Kids Enchanted Fairy and Elf Festival, another great family day out and for a great cause.
