Mammy make up tips by Pamela

So today my fabulous friend and mammy of three boys Pamela, of Pamela Matthews Hair and Make Up shares her tips for a quick make up look for getting out in the morning with the kids. Time is always of the essence in the morning, whether you’re just doing the school run, dashing out to work or both.

Happy reading all (x R)

Being a mammy means we often don’t have the time (or the energy!) to spend hours perfecting our make up. If you are anything like me, it’s usually a quick dash of foundation before running out the door to do the school run!

With this in mind, I have picked my favourite budget friendly products, so you can still look stylish while on the run. Two tops tips I have are: Brows – this will add height to your arch and detract from tired eyes and a nude eyeliner on the waterline will brighten up your eyes to ensure you look fresh and awake, perfect for the morning after a sleepless night!

So have a read of my quick make up routine, it can really save you time, which is what every mammy needs in the morning, right?

Foundation can be the most time consuming step of doing our make up. If you’re not a fan of foundation brushes use your fingers for a quicker more blendable coverage and only cover areas of redness, dark circles, puffiness or uneven skin tone.

Use concealer under the eye area in an upside down triangle shape. Make sure your concealer is a shade or two lighter than your foundation to brighten the eyes. Apply to the centre of the nose and any areas that need a little more coverage. Follow up this by setting this with your powder.

Using a bronzer define the cheek area and dust along the hair line to give a slight sun-kissed glow. Add blush to the apples of the cheeks to give a youthful appearance

To finish up fill in your brows using your brow kit; Apply nude liner to waterline and a generous coat of mascara and finally line the lips with a nude liner and use the Elizbeth Arden Eight Hour cream or Dr Paw Paw Balm to add a gloss to the lips.
